Before joining the FER Commission in June 2013, Reto Frey had already served as Technical Secretary of the FER for more than five years.

He is partner in the auditing division at BDO AG in Zurich, with a specialisation in auditing of national and international groups that apply Swiss GAAP FER standards.

He heads BDO’s national expert group on FER.

Reto Frey holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Zurich. He is a Certified Public Accountant and completed a two-year secondment in Toronto, Canada.
