KPMG Chair of Audit and Accounting at the University of St.Gallen

Peter Leibfried has held the KPMG Chair of Audit and Accounting at the University of St.Gallen (HSG) since 2005.

As such, and in addition to other roles, he serves as director of the Institute of Accounting, Control and Auditing (ACA-HSG), academic director of HSG’s largest Master’s program (MAccFin) and dean of the School of Management.

Before his time at the University of St. Gallen, Peter Leibfried worked for 10 years at, among others, the auditing firm Arthur Andersen, as well as founded a consulting and training company for accounting. He sold part of it to a listed competitor in 2005, while the rest continues to operate successfully. Peter Leibfried is registered as a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois (USA).
