Thomas Remund has served as head of finance control for the Canton of Bern since 2010.

His area of responsibility also includes auditing the annual financial statements (of, for example, the (University of Bern, Bern University of Applied Sciences, etc.) according to Swiss GAAP FER rules.

Before that, he served more than 10 years as both head of group accounting and controlling at SBB and auditing at Ernst & Young in Biel.

Thomas Remund is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fiduciary (Federal Diploma of Higher Education) and Certified Swiss Banking Expert. He has more than 40 years of experience in the fields of finance, accounting and auditing.
