Observer
veb.ch is Switzerland’s largest association for financial reporting, controlling and accounting. Established in 1936, it now has more than 8,500 members across the country.
In partnership with the Swiss Association of Commercial Employees and under the supervision of the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI), veb.ch organises the annual examinations for financial and accounting professionals, amongst other things.
veb.ch ensures that the examinations and related training courses are continuously adapted in line with the latest requirements. For this reason, holders of Federal and Advanced Federal PET Diplomas are highly sought after to work as specialists and managers in the private sector as well as in public administration. The fact that these diplomas are widely recognised and accorded a high status in the National Qualification Framework (NQF) is also reflected in the good salaries that they can attract.
veb.ch is also committed to continuing professional development (CPD): for instance, it is the Swiss market leader for certified training in Swiss GAAP FER. As well as the numerous multi-day certificate courses, the CPD programme is complemented by fascinating day-long seminars, workshops and intensive study groups (half-day courses) And, last but not least, the association provides its members throughout Switzerland with a valuable network of industry contacts.
However, veb.ch does more than simply serve its members and run examinations in the business and public spheres: it is also charged with exerting a lasting, visible influence on developing and introducing modern forms of financial reporting and controlling in Switzerland.
veb.ch’s offices can be found in the Kaufleuten building in central Zurich. The same interests are represented by SWISCO in French-speaking Switzerland and ACF in Ticino.
